Welcome to Freeflow UK

Here at Freeflow we've just completed a document that we hope will help us secure future funding so we may continue to provide you with our core services. We also hope to secure some commercial sponsorship that will allow us to host Northern Lights 2008. If you didn't attend last May's event, you're either crazy or were out of the country. Which ever it was you certainly missed out. Anyway, we'll keep you in touch and let you know how things progress. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of future Northern Lights events, please contact Simon Ashby at maineloft@hotmail.com. In the meantime, for a taster from Northern Lights 2007 please click on the link below.

Freeflow UK Junior Rock School

                                         Chainsaw the Children rocking out

Last week saw Freeflow take a short break from our normal duties to give some truly new talent a helping hand. Twenty bright young things from the Rochdale and Oldham areas spent a week strutting their stuff and learning the tricks of the trade at Rock School 2007. Under the watchful eyes of band leaders Talena Smith, Steve Burke, Andy Brown and Tom Hingley, four brand new bands were formed, to work towards their first ever performances at the Honeywell Centre in Oldham.

The Wells - hard at work in the rehearsal studios

The week also included fantastic vocal workshops, an insight into how the music industry works, and some incredible percussion tuition from Rome Mosabbir. The final performance was a great success, with even the audience joining in, "It's only rock 'n' roll - but we like it!". Our thanks go out to all the LA staff who made our jobs an easy and enjoyable experience. We would also like to thank Alec Davies and Jimmy for helping out with live sound and recording, and Michelle Udugo for being a great learning mentor. More photos of the week will appear on the site's news page, once we've taken a short break. For now, we'll leave you with one last snap of fledging rockers The Wire, doing their thing. See you soon, Simon Ashby - Production Manager Freeflow Uk and Rock School coordinator.

Northern Lights - A Resounding Success!!

Thank you so much for your attendance at Northern Lights. We had a fantastic day made better by seeing so many of you there. We've got some great results to share with you just as soon as we've sifted through all the material, including a 15 min DVD, excellent photographs of the day and the bands and some brilliant contacts who want to help you help yourselves.

We need your support now more than ever. Our funding is coming to an end and we're seeking more. If you've had a good day, gotten any results out of the day - no matter if they're as seemingly small as meeting a new musician or enjoying the bands you've been watching - then drop me an email : sarah AT freeflowuk.com
